April StoryWalks of Wake County Parks
Experience the magic of literature integrated into the great outdoors with the April StoryWalks program across various Wake County Parks. This unique initiative invites families and nature enthusiasts to enjoy a refreshing walk while following the pages of engaging children books posted along scenic trails and walkways. It is a fantastic way to promote literacy and physical activity in a beautiful environment.
From April 1 through April 30, residents can visit multiple locations including the American Tobacco Trail, Crowder, Oak View, Yates Mill, Lake Crabtree, and Robertson Millpond to enjoy featured stories such as Mae Among the Stars and Compost Stew. Additionally, the new Beech Bluff site will host A Day With No Words through April 27. These installations offer a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature while fostering a love for reading in young children.
We encourage you to pack your walking shoes, bring the family, and immerse yourself in these seasonal stories. Please check park hours before your visit and head out to explore the wonders of reading in the heart of our vibrant community parks today.
