April StoryWalks of Wake County Parks
Experience the magic of literature and the great outdoors this April with the Wake County Parks StoryWalk series. Families are invited to immerse themselves in nature while reading engaging children books displayed along scenic park trails. This innovative project combines physical activity with literacy, providing a wonderful way for children and adults to connect with the environment. Throughout the month, seven unique parks will feature different stories, ranging from tales about space exploration and nature to heartwarming accounts of personal growth and discovery.
Visitors can explore diverse titles like Mae Among the Stars at the American Tobacco Trail or Compost Stew at Crowder Park. Each location offers a beautiful backdrop for a morning or afternoon stroll, allowing you to move at your own pace while enjoying high quality storytelling in fresh air. These events are perfect for families looking to add an educational and active twist to their park visits. We encourage everyone to gather their loved ones, lace up their walking shoes, and head to a participating park to enjoy these literary adventures before they conclude at the end of the month.
