Adaptive Tai Chi at NCMA Museum Park: Mindful Movement for Everyone
Experience the restorative power of movement with Adaptive Tai Chi at the North Carolina Museum of Art Museum Park. This inclusive program invites participants of all skill levels and physical abilities to engage in the ancient Chinese martial art of Tai Chi. Whether you prefer to sit or stand, our guided sessions offer gentle, mindful movements designed to improve focus and flexibility in a welcoming outdoor environment. Expertly led by Tish Oakley, the class incorporates descriptive cues to ensure accessibility for those who are blind or have low vision, as well as individuals with limited mobility.
Sessions are held on the first Thursday evening of the month during the spring and fall seasons within the park Welcome Center. We operate on a pay what you can basis, including a free option for all attendees. Because space is strictly limited, we encourage you to secure your spot early by registering online. Please dress comfortably, bring water, and prepare for a rejuvenating experience tailored to your needs. Join us to build strength and community in a beautiful setting.
