Treefrog Survey
Join us for an interactive field survey to document and study tree frog populations at Prairie Ridge. This event focuses on monitoring local frog species that utilize artificial shelters, providing valuable data for ongoing regional herpetology research initiatives.
Participants will inspect PVC pipe shelters located near the Ecostation to document frog activity and biodiversity. You will learn the methodology for identifying different tree frog species and gain hands-on experience using the HerpMapper platform to log findings. This research directly supports our long-term efforts to understand and protect local habitats.
This survey is open to anyone with an interest in citizen science and wildlife conservation. The experience takes place outdoors, so please come prepared to walk approximately one mile along natural dirt trails. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with local ecology while contributing to real scientific data collection. We invite you to join our team, develop your field skills, and help us gather critical information about the tree frogs that call Prairie Ridge home. Sign up today to secure your spot and participate in this important conservation project.
