On Friday, March 20, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, celebrate the first day of spring with breathtaking views of Jupiter and other celestial wonders through telescopes and binoculars. Our astronomy educators will be on hand to guide you through the cosmos, sharing fascinating insights and answering your burning questions about the night sky.


This free, informal session welcomes space enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. Bring a blanket or chairs, pack your favorite snacks, and prepare for a relaxing and awe-inspiring evening. Bird Count at Firefly Farm Free Day

Immerse yourself in the tranquility of Firefly Farm, located at 4911 Hunt Road, Hillsborough, North Carolina, as you observe and identify birds in their natural habitat. This is a unique opportunity to connect with nature, learn about local avian species, and participate in a meaningful scientific endeavor.


The farm will be open and free to visit throughout the count. Come and go as you please between sunrise (just after 7 a.m.) and sunset (just before 6 p.m.).
