Forging II
Forging II is an intermediate blacksmithing workshop designed to help participants refine their metalworking skills and build upon foundational techniques. This session focuses on enhancing heat and hammer control to improve your overall ability to shape hot metal efficiently and accurately.
Throughout the workshop, you will practice essential techniques including bending and upsetting. We will introduce specialized tools such as bending forks, swage blocks, and cone mandrels to demonstrate how these instruments assist in complex metal shaping. You will also learn the process of forging decorative elements like leaves to expand your creative repertoire.
This class is strictly intended for individuals who have already completed the Forging Intro course. If you are looking to move beyond the basics and gain more confidence at the anvil, this workshop provides the ideal environment for your development. The atmosphere is professional and hands-on, ensuring you receive the guidance needed to master these advanced skills. Space is limited, so please ensure you meet the prerequisite before registering to secure your place in this upcoming session.
